Altai mountains – one day hike at Karakol valley. Today we will explore the impressive Karakol valley: its ancient sacred places, temples and tombs of Tuekta, Bashadar, Boocha and Karakol, where Afanasians, Karakolians, Scyths and Turks buried their leaders and shamans.

In VI-IV centuries BC Scyths occupied all the key valleys of the area and spread influence to the other parts of Altai. Scyths tombs nowadays represent the traces of this ancient culture and lots of scientific work is being done today here. Dinner and overnight.
