Large-scale construction began in 1985. In 1986, on the basis of Order No. 86 of the Ministry of Culture of the USSR, the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 was opened. The team monitored the quality of the work performed, maintained comprehensive relations with veterans and search teams, conducted the scientific development of the future exposition and organized the collection of museum objects.
