End of April - beginning of May is the unique spring time when Baikal is getting rid off the ice cover. Rodney, Australia: The tour was a very good introduction to the Russian subcontinentI was a solo traveler in a small group and found it so well worth doing this way. Great experience, great country worth to explore more. Our tour leader Katya was fantastic; she was so helpful, and really made the trip fun. I bought warmer shoes but she said that in fact this winter was not cold at all. Very surprising vibrant like in winter wonderland.
