Today, we finally start our acquatance with Russia. Pskov is nearly 2000 years old and is one the most beautiful Russian cities. The Pskov Kremlin, or, the Krom, includes Trinity Cathedral - the symbol of Pskov. Majestically rising on a rocky promontory, the Krom is one of the best examples of ancient Russia defensive architecture. Remarkably, it is the largest in Europe fortress. It survived more than a hundred wars and dozens of sieges, but actually, was destroyed only once - as a result of betrayal, rather than the fall of the walls.

Having defeated the Teutonic knights on the ice of Lake Chudsky in 1242, Prince Alexander Nevsky lived in Pskov for several days and left here the "certificate of Alexander" - rules of law, which later formed the basis of the Pskov ship 's certificate. A 30-meter and 150-ton monument was installed on Mount Sokolikha to the Prince and his team. After the Pskov tour, we start our 8 hours drive to Moscow.
