Sochi 2014 was the most expensive Olympics in history. Overall costs exceeded $50 billion, more than 4 times more than initial budget. And more records, the Olympic flame covered a record distance on the way to Sochi - 65,000 km.
Sochi Olympic Park is a special place for the city. The main sports facilities of the Olympics are located here, where competitions in figure skating, hockey, speed skating, curling and other sports were held. The grandest of Olympic constructions was the Fisht Stadium, where the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games were held. The stadium was named after the mountain of the same name, which can be seen from the stands. In the Adygeans language, "Fisht" means "White frost". During the opening and closing ceremonies of the games, the stadium could accommodate about 40 thousand people.
Now, Imeretinka is a nicely developed resort area with amusement park and very long seaside with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops.
