Crossing three vast countries, each as fascinating as the next, the Trans Mongolian train trundles through the urban landscape and skyscrapers of Beijing into an entirely different world of steppes dotted with gers (traditional yurts) and the stark Gobi Desert in Mongolia, the seemingly endless birch forests of Russia, skirting impressive Lake Baikal and the wilds of the Siberian taiga. Exprience the biggest cultural event in Mongolia, fascinating Naadam festival, and end your journey exploring Moscow and St. Petersburg. This is hop on/hop off train tour and it runs vice versa.

Gary Edwards, Australia: Thank you for a very interesting trip!
In July 2019 my wife and I went with Discovery Russia from Beijing to Moscow by train. This is not your common trip. This is to remote parts of the world and among very different cultures. We went to the Naadam Festival in Mongolia after riding through all of China. Then we went into Siberia going east to west. Then European Russia to Moscow. Our eyes were opened to a world we had never seen before.
