Georges & Barbaba, Luxembourg: A great trip to Irkutsk and the Baikal Lake

We had a great time in Irkutsk as well as on and around Baikal Lake. I was an exceptional and well organized trip by Irina from Discovery Russia. Our local guide, Anastasia, was very good: well qualified, proactive, perfectly fluent in English, always in a good mood and - something of value to us - able to find the right balance between explaining things in depth and giving us some privacy to enjoying sights and moments by ourselves. She definitely did a great job!

The logistical arrangements by Discovery Russia during the trip worked out fine and were totally adequate. The same is true for the pre-trip communication and everything related to invoicing and payments. Thank you again

I was a little apprehensive about travelling to Russia but really had nothing at all to worry about.

Discovery Russia organized everything from pick ups to private tours, metro cards and provided a very useful guide to completing the visa processes..

We were NEVER left in a museum with an audio guide (which at times can be disengaging), but rather had a guide talk to us about the most popular and historically significant items/artworks. The tour guides were beyond knowledge, professional and always had our interests at heart. Furthermore, the company provides Russian SIM cards and our tour manager Tati was available literally available 24/7, always checking our transfer our tour guide had arrived. I can not recommend this company enough if you are thinking about travelling to Russia.
