Today we’ll start our day with a trip to the ancient city of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky, where one of the largest and the best-preserved fortresses in Ukraine has survived, standing menacingly on the Black Sea coast. This stronghold, once the largest in Eastern Europe, for many centuries was the arena of the battle of the most powerful empires in history.
After visiting the fortress, we’ll move to the SHABO Wine Culture Center. It is the only tourist complex in Ukraine located right on the premises of an active winemaking enterprise – combining state-of-the art, high-tech production process with unique historical and cultural landmarks.
Everything here is breathing with history yet inspires with innovation. Every connoisseur of noble beverages visiting Shabo’s marvelous 200-year-old Royal, Sherry and Two-Level Cellars, underground wine storage, and other facilities will receive a unique opportunity to learn about the history of winemaking and see Shabo terroir with his own eyes.
During our visit, we’ll not only get acquainted with the rich history of winemaking in Odessa and the peculiarities of wine production, but also taste the best examples of local white, red and sparkling wines.
Upon returning to Odessa, we’ll have a pacifying evening boat trip in the Odessa Bay with exciting city views.
