During the interim weekend and other free days of a project, volunteers enjoy hikes, or trips to local sites and museums. These outings, and the trail projects themselves, are led by the crew leaders. Each group also has a translator, staff member who not only ensures that the Russian and international volunteers successully comunicate, but he is also responsible for the project’s cultural and entertainment programs.

Your Discovery Russia Destination Expert will assist you with Russian visa, flights, transportation to the Reserve and arrange any extra tours in Siberia and Lake Baikal area.

Length of your stay in the Reserve is flexible and depends on how much time you have. You can leave earlier or later, your Russian travel exper shall arrange it on request.

During a workday, volunteers are busy with clearing a way for a new trail, improving existing trails, or building a campground or other structure, making sure that each trail is clean and up to the standards.
