Volunteers arriving to the Kronotsky Reserve, Kamchatka Peninsula, are busy with numerous duties: ecology research, environment protection, general scientific research, and ecological education. Help the researchers to collect field data, participate in repairation and construction works, take photographs and shoot films about these protected territories, and so much more! Besides, you get to know how real Russia lives at its ultimate eastern frontier.
Each volunteer program is a tailor-made journey and subject to approval by the autohorities of the Reserve. Your final duties will be determined once you join the team on site. Your Discovery Russia Destination Expert will assist you with Russian visa, flights, transportation to the Reserve and arrange any extra tours at Kamchatka. Length of your stay in the Reserve is flexible and depends on how much time you have. You can leave earlier or later, your Russian travel exper shall arrange it on request.
