This was my second trip to Russia using Discovery Russia. I was definitely not disappointed. I sent a list of places in Moscow, St-Petersburg and Veliky Novgorod that I wanted to see, mostly having to do with The Great Patriotic War and the Cold War to Lina at Discovery Russia and all the tour arrangements were made perfectly. Special thanks to Lina and Ella who arranged for me to use taxis to most sites. Due to a handicap that I have, this made my tour a lot easier physically and allowed me to save my energy for walking around the sites I saw. THANK YOU! My tour guides were the same as last year, which made my trip more fun and interesting since they already knew my interests. Liza, Alexandra and Yuriy were all, once again, FANTASTIC! They answered my many questions and shared their unique knowledge of their cities in detail and with a love of their cities. It’s one of the safest and hospitable countries on the planet. I HIGHLY recommend Discovery Russia for anyone interested in learning about Russia and its history and people. We recently returned from the 13 day Grand Russia Unesco Tour. We primarily booked this trip because very few travel groups offer such a complete itinerary (including Golden Ring and Kazan//Bolgar). We were very pleased with this tour - it was intense and left very few hours of relaxation, but the amount of things we were able to see, experience and learn about were extensive. We were lucky to have an incredibly proficient guide, Yuri. His knowledge of the Golden Ring and Moscow especially was 'above the norn'. The city guides in other places were very good too. If you are serious about learning about and experiencing more than the typical Moscow/St. Petersburg tour, you should consider Discovery Russia.
