Mañana libre para el ocio o para explorar otros tesoros de Moscú. A la hora apropiada, traslado a la estación de tren y embarque en el tren a Kazan. ¡La aventura transiberiana comienza!
The day is free at leisure or to explore other treasures of Moscow. At the appropriate time, transfer to the train station and board the train to Kazan.
Optional tours of the day may include Kolomenskoe Estate. It is a former Royal estate located in the southern part of Moscow. Since 15th century, Kolomenskoe served as a summer country residence for the Grand Dukes of Moscow and Russian Tsars. The most significant attraction is the Ascension Church, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage monument.
The wooden palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich with 270 rooms decorated with paintings and carvings was built in 1667 without using any fasten materials, nails or hooks. It consisted of 26 buildings connected with each other by passages and halls. The whole complex was divided into male and female parts. The male part included ceremonial chambers, chambers of the Tsar and of his sons, while the female part belonged to the Tsarina and to the Tsar’s daughters.
Go to see Moscow City, which is the business heart of Russia's capital. Ascend on the rooftop of one of the skyscrapers for the highest in Russia observation point (and Europe, by the way). Here on 89th floor you will find the world's highest Ice Cream Museum. Panoramic views which the Federation Tower offers are amongst the best in the city. Memorable photos and a sweet gift to each guest are part of the experience. There is a panoramic restaurant too.
Step 62 meters down to Bunker 42, a real, anti-nuclear Soviet bunker, used as the Kremlin's base-camp during the Caribbean Crisis. You will visit the Cold War Interactive Museum and see unique artifacts. The place is still partially classified, so photography is permitted only in the certain parts of the Bunker.
Travel outside the city for a real tank ride and shooting or visit colorful Izmaylovo Kremlin featuring an open air museum of wooden architecture and Vodka museum. Talk to your Discovery Russia travel expert to make the most of your Moscow experience!
