It is the fourth-largest city in Russia. It is located on the Iset River east of the Ural Mountains, in the middle of the Eurasian continent, on the Asian side of the boundary between Asia and Europe. Legally, this is where Siberia ends (or starts, if you travel Eastbound).

Execution site of the last Russian monarchs and birthplace of Boris Yeltsin, first Russia’s President, Yekaterinburg has enough historic places to keep you busy.
