Teletskoe Lake. The pearl of Altai Mountains imageTeletskoe Lake. The pearl of Altai Mountains

Boat trip on the Teletskoye lake. The lake is one of world's twenty deepest, though it is not very large, at only 223 square kilometres. However, due to its depth (average 175 m) the water is so pure that visibility is 100%, down from a depth of 15 metres. Visit Korbu waterfall, the most picturesque waterfall in the area. The deepest part of the lake, at 325 metres, is just in front of the waterfall. Old Altai legend says that a golden sword of Khan Tele fell down right here and that is how the lake emerged.
