In March, there are no more severe frosts, and the weather is comfortable. In the first half of March, the air temperature during the day ranges from + 1... -9S. The ice at this time still remains very strong. Snow falls sometimes, very often there is sunny weather and then you can literally sunbath under the March rays of Siberian sun!

On days like this, everything sparkles like diamonds. Ice becomes completely transparent, like glass, and acquires a saturated, blue color. Underwater life is perfectly visible to a depth of 40 meters. You can lie on the ice and watch it as if in a giant aquarium. March is a great month for outdoor activities on Baikal. ATV skating, dog sled racing and golf tournaments right on the icy surface of the lake are held. We can enjoy skiing, skating, snowmobiling and even bicycles with spiked rubber.
